Ingredients: 1 egg; 2 Tbsp Chelsea white sugar; 1 Tbsp Edmonds standard flour; 2 tsp mustard powder; 1 cup water or corned beef cooking liquid; ¼ cup malt vinegar; Salt and pepper

Ingredients

1 egg
2 Tbsp Chelsea white sugar
1 Tbsp Edmonds standard grade flour
2 tsp mustard powder
1 cup water or corned beef cooking liquid
¼ cup malt vinegar
Salt and pepper

Method

Beat the egg and sugar together and put into a saucepan.
Whisk in the flour and mustard, then gradually add the water and vinegar.
Cook over a low heat until the sauce thickens, then season with salt and pepper to taste, adding more sugar if you wish.

Yummm best sauce ever, my mum use to make this sauce about 20 years ago and just love it. Having corned beef for dinner tonight and I can't wait for the sauce, best part of the meal i reckon. If i could drink it like a hot cuppa i so would..... Yummy
