Ingredients

1 egg
2 Tbsp Chelsea white sugar
1 Tbsp Edmonds standard grade flour
2 tsp mustard powder
1 cup water or corned beef cooking liquid
¼ cup malt vinegar
Salt and pepper

Method

Beat the egg and sugar together and put into a saucepan.
Whisk in the flour and mustard, then gradually add the water and vinegar.
Cook over a low heat until the sauce thickens, then season with salt and pepper to taste, adding more sugar if you wish.

Have made this mustard sauce for 40 odd years. Still my favorite with corned beef. Yum yum

I've been looking for a GLUTEN FREE mustard sauce. This works perfectly. Just change out the flour for GF flour and the malted vinegar for white vinegar.
