You can vary the stewed fruit by season to make a quick and satisfying dessert all the family will enjoy.
1. Preheat oven to 180ºC. Grease a large ovenproof dish.
2. Put stewed fruit into the bottom the dish.
3. Put cake mix, eggs, butter and milk into a medium mixing bowl. Using an electric mixer, beat on low speed for 30 seconds to combine. Increase speed to medium and mix for 2 minutes. Scrape down sides of bowl occasionally.
4. Pour mixture over fruit.
5. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until sponge springs back when lightly touched. Serve dusted with icing sugar.
