Caramel Fudge Sauce


A hot sauce for ice cream or try it on our Moist Date Pudding.

Prep Time: 15mins


125g butter

¾ cup brown sugar

1½ Tbsp Edmonds Fielder’s cornflour

1 cup water

1 Tbsp golden syrup

½ cup cream


1. Heat the butter and sugar in a saucepan, stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves. Boil for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, and then remove from the heat.

2. Combine the cornflour, water and golden syrup in a bowl and mix until smooth, then add to the saucepan and bring the mixture back to the boil, stirring constantly. Boil for 2 minutes.

3. Remove from the heat and mix in the cream.
