French Dressing (Vinaigrette)

The classic oil and vinegar dressing which is best made in small quantities and used immediately.

Prep Time: 10mins


⅓ cup olive oil

1 Tbsp white wine vinegar or lemon juice

¼ tsp dry mustard powder or ½ tsp prepared mustard

1 small clove garlic, crushed

salt and pepper

1 Tbsp chopped parsley, chives or basil


1. Put all the ingredients into a screw-top jar and shake well.


Mustard Vinaigrette - Add 2 teaspoons wholegrain mustard.
