  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup cold water
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 1. Put the oats, cold water and salt into a saucepan. Mix to a smooth paste.

  • 2. Gradually stir in boiling water. Boil for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

    VARIATIONS:

    Any of the following toppings can be added

    • brown sugar and milk
    • fruit and yoghurt
    • bananas and cinnamon
